BIO: James Wardrop, CEO

Jim served in the US Navy for 8 years. His designation was Electronics Technician. Those responsibilities included: Information Technology Services working on a diverse set of technologies; radar, sonar, electronic mine-warfare, and many types of communications gear. Honorably discharged in 1993.

Jim started his career in Information Technology at Ford Motor Company where he worked for over 18 years. He held several different roles in many areas of the company. These positions included: Computer Aided Design, Manufacturing, and Engineering, IT service delivery manager and ultimately in IT leadership. Many of the experiences with directing strategic initiatives leading to Operational Excellence and productivity efficiencies.

Jim has since held many positions of Leadership in companies of all sizes, industries, and verticals. These roles included senior manager of Supplier and Performance Management (very large auto supplier). Director of Operations, IT senior leader for Strategy and Planning enterprise-wide, Global Architecture and Innovation (very large auto OEM). Transition Executive and Chief Enterprise Architect (large professional services company). The position of CIO (inter-national professional services company) where he was responsible for leading transformational Field Service solutions resulting in efficiencies, cost take out and significant increase in Client Service.

Jim is currently the CEO of CoffeeTree Group, he has led several Consulting and Advisory engagements. He helped launch Operation Centers in rural America and re-shored many jobs to the USA. He continues to add strategic relationships to the company portfolio, provide new opportunities for professional services offerings, and has been instrumental in leading many successful projects delivering industry relevant technology solutions.

Jim resides in Detroit, Michigan along with his 5 children and 7 grandchildren. He enjoys spending time with the family. He likes sports like boating, skiing, and golfing. Jim has been volunteering his time as a basketball coach, as a mentor, and as a Subject Matter Expert in technology for more than 25 years.
