Tom served in the United States Navy for 4 years.  His designation was Aviation Electronics Technician.  Those responsibilities included: Communications, Navigation, and Electronic Counter Measures.  Tom was also part of the Personal Reliability Program (PRP) which allowed him to handle, load, and test the firing systems for nuclear weapons.  Only the top 5% of Naval personnel were selected for this program.  Tom was Honorably discharged from the Navy in 1986.

Tom started his career at Ford Aerospace as an Electronic Assembly Repair technician.  He held multiple roles including Engineer-In-Charge and Unit Manager responsible for 115+ personnel and operations of the entire electronics repair depot which included Shipping and Receiving, Warehousing, Call Centers, Electronic Repair, and Administration.  Ford Aerospace was purchased by Loral Aerospace who was purchased by Lockheed Martin Aerospace.  Tom stayed with the companies through two different acquisitions. Tom Left Lockheed Martin to rejoin Ford Motor Company in 1999.

While at Ford Motor Company, Tom has held numerous IT leadership positions.  Those include IT positions in Product Development, Manufacturing, and Marketing Sales and Service.  Highlights of those positions included a $50M budget to manage and strategically enhance the externally facing Ford.com website, IT manager of both the Livonia Transmission and Rawsonville Components facilities. 

Tom served as the IT representative for the Factory of Tomorrow initiative.  This $250M project defined the strategic vision for Manufacturing of the Future. Tom taught and demonstrated to the senior leadership team what the “Art of the Possible” was and how the differentiated experiences would bring tremendous value to Ford Manufacturing.

Tom is the Vice President of Technical Services at the CoffeeTree Group.  In this role, he is responsible for the delivery of technical resources and contractual deliverables under the Managed Services Business for CoffeeTree.  This will include Manufacturing Staff Augmentation, Operations Center Management, and Technology Innovation across Manufacturing Systems.

Tom resides in the Toledo, Ohio area along with his wife, 5 children, and 1 grandchild.  He enjoys spending time with his family.  Tom enjoys traveling, camping, fishing, hunting, and hiking. He is also a certified volunteer for the Red Cross and mentors’ youth in the NASA sponsored First Robotics Lego League.
